60 years Lehnhoff

On 1 July 1960 Ernst Günter Lehnhoff founded the small repair shop "Metallbearbeitung Steinbach" near Baden-Baden. In the beginning, mainly crawler tracks and their wheels were regenerated. As a trained goldsmith, Lehnhoff was familiar with materials and alloys and developed a method for the low-cost and effective repair of pump casings, which were needed for the extension of the Karlsruhe Rhine harbour. The production of wear parts such as teeth for excavator buckets finally led Lehnhoff to the manufacture of his own backhoe buckets for the emerging hydraulic excavators.

With the invention of the tiltable ditch cleaning bucket, which is common today, Lehnhoff proved its foresight in the hydraulic sector. 1980 Peter Alexander Lehnhoff takes over his father's business. With constant expansion and modernisation of the production facilities, the product range for attachments is also expanded.

In 1989 the quickcoupler system "Lehmatic" for mini-excavators is born, which is still the standard today. In the course of time the quickcoupler range for larger excavators is extended until the fully hydraulic system "Variolock" is released in 2007.

Today on 1 July 2020 Lehnhoff celebrates its 60th anniversary. With more than 180,000 quickcoupler systems sold and a large selection of attachments for all excavator brands and classes, we are very confident for the future and would like to thank you for your trust and cooperation!
